Article 2 – Purpose
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the sale of limited-edition photographic prints offered on the website luminouseditions.com. Any order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Article 3 – Products
The works offered are limited-edition photographic prints face-mounted in matte acrylic and produced to order. Each edition is limited to a specific number of copies, as stated on the product page. Once the edition is sold out, the image will not be reproduced. Each print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist, which is dispatched separately within 21 days of delivery of the artwork to the delivery address provided at the time of ordering, unless the buyer requests otherwise at the time of ordering.
Article 3a – Sales to private individuals only
The luminouseditions.com website is intended exclusively for purchases by private individuals (consumers) for personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code. The consumer rights set out in these Terms and Conditions do not apply to purchases made in a professional or commercial capacity which cannot be processed via the Luminous Editions website. Article 4 – Prices and currency
Prices are displayed and orders are invoiced in the currency of the customer's market, determined automatically based on the customer's location: Euro (EUR) for France, Monaco, and all European Union countries; Pound Sterling (GBP) for the United Kingdom; US Dollar (USD) for the United States; Swiss Franc (CHF) for Switzerland. Currency conversion is applied automatically based on the exchange rate in effect at the time of order confirmation. In the event of a reimbursement, the refund will be issued in the same currency and for the same amount as the original payment.
As Luminous Editions is not subject to VAT pursuant to Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code, no VAT is applied to sales. For orders delivered within the European Union, prices are therefore inclusive of all taxes.
For orders delivered outside the European Union, additional import duties, customs fees, or local taxes may apply upon delivery. These charges are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the purchase price.
Article 5 – Order
The order is confirmed once payment has been received. A confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided by the buyer.
Article 6 – Payment
Payment is due at the time of ordering. The accepted payment methods are those offered at checkout on the website. Transactions are secured by Shopify Payments.
Article 7 – Production and delivery
Prints are produced to order by our specialist partner laboratory in Germany, which also handles the packaging and dispatch of the works directly to the delivery address via its own network of carriers. Production and delivery times are approximately 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the format and destination.
Delivery times are indicative and the seller shall not be held liable for production delays or any delays attributable to the carrier or customs formalities.
Delivery charges are indicated at the time of ordering.
For deliveries outside the European Union, customs duties and import taxes may be levied upon receipt by the authorities of the destination country. These costs are the sole responsibility of the buyer and cannot be estimated or charged at the checkout.
Article 8 – Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the buyer has the right to withdraw from their purchase within 14 days of delivery of the last item in their order, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, the buyer must submit a return request via their customer account at luminouseditions.com before the withdrawal period expires. When prompted to select a reason, please select 'Other' and write in the notes field: "I wish to exercise my right of withdrawal." If unable to access their customer account, the buyer may contact studio@mercedesparodi.com with their order number and the subject line: Right of Withdrawal — Order [N°]. Return shipping costs are borne by the buyer. Full details of the withdrawal procedure are set out in the Return and Refund Policy
Article 9 – Receipt, returns and complaints
Receipt: Upon delivery of the print, the buyer or the person taking receipt must inspect the condition of the package, photograph it if damaged, and note any relevant reservations on the carrier's delivery document (lettre de voiture) before the carrier departs.
Returns and complaints: In the event of damage in transit, please do not use the return request option in your customer account — contact studio@mercedesparodi.com directly by email within 48 hours of receipt with supporting photographs as set out in the Return and Refund Policy. A replacement or refund will be offered depending on the circumstances.
For returns exercised under the right of withdrawal, the buyer must arrange return shipping to Mercedes Parodi EI in France within 14 days of withdrawal notification. Prints must not be returned to the manufacturer. Reimbursement will be made within 14 days of withdrawal notification, subject to receipt of the returned print or proof of dispatch with tracking, whichever occurs first, as set out in the Return and Refund Policy.
Article 10 – Intellectual property
The photographic works offered on luminouseditions.com are the exclusive intellectual property of Mercedes Parodi and are protected under French and international copyright law (French Intellectual Property Code, Articles L111-1 et seq.).
The purchase of a limited-edition print confers on the buyer the right of private enjoyment and display of the physical work for personal, non-commercial purposes only. It does not constitute a transfer of any intellectual property rights whatsoever.
In particular, and without limitation, the buyer is expressly prohibited from:
- Reproducing, copying, scanning, or digitising the work in any form or by any means
- Distributing, publishing, broadcasting, or communicating the work to the public, whether free of charge or for commercial gain
- Using the work or any reproduction thereof for advertising, promotional, or commercial purposes
- Creating derivative works, adaptations, or modifications of the work
- Selling, licensing, or otherwise transferring any rights in the work to third parties
Any reproduction or use of the work without the prior written authorisation of Mercedes Parodi constitutes an infringement of copyright and may give rise to civil and criminal liability under Articles L335-2 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code.

Article 11 – Personal data
The collection and processing of personal data carried out in connection with orders placed on luminouseditions.com are governed exclusively by the Privacy Policy forming an integral part of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale.
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), buyers may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, and objection by contacting studio@mercedesparodi.com
Article 12 – Applicable law and disputes
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority. Failing this, the matter will be referred to the competent courts in the jurisdiction of Paris. However, in accordance with applicable consumer protection law, consumers resident in the European Union retain the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of residence.
In accordance with Articles L611-1 et seq. and R612-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the purchaser may refer the matter to a consumer mediator free of charge. Article 13 – Prevailing version
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are written in French and translated into English for information purposes only. In the event of any contradiction or discrepancy in interpretation between the French and English versions, the French version shall prevail.
